Super tasty and it's even moderately healthy! It's great for desserts and only takes 5-10 minutes to make, plus it consists of ingredients you'll find in most kitchens. Skim milk and low fat ice-cream can be used to make a lighter version. Using the ingredients pictured, one glass works out at around 250 calories [don't quote me on that!]
- All you need for this is a blender/electric mixer of some variety and a bowl to mix it in [make sure it's something durable]
- Chop up your banana and add all ingredients into your chosen bowl; blend together until it's a creamy consistency [the smoother the better]. Pour into glass and then if you have the patience, leave to chill for 5 minutes [or just drink straight away]
- Topping it with cinnamon or chocolate powder is optional :) Crushed biscuit is a really nice touch as well, just make sure it's powdery or it'll sink!
If you have a real sweet tooth; chocolate ice-cream works too! |
1 serving =
- 1 medium sized banana
- 1 cup of semi skimmed milk
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla ice-cream
- 1/2 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring
- 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Enjoy!
